Put Sunshine & Wind to Work Activity Tips

The Put Sunshine & Wind to Work activity increases students’ awareness of ways they can use less electricity and natural gas by harnessing the power of the sun and wind.

Ask students to put a check by all the actions that they already do, and a star by at least three that they can commit to doing this week. Ask students to share this list with their family and friends.

Extension
Ask students to think of more ideas for using energy sustainably by using wind and sun power.

Follow Up
Approximately a week later, ask students how successful they were at putting sunshine and wind to work.
